well .. i currently have no plans on integrating search directly into the forum..
i still hope that django will sooner or later implement a generic way of adding search to applications .. for example: http://code.djangoproject.com/wiki/\TextIndexingAbstractionLayer although .. this might change when i see the need for a forum specific search .. (i'm not sure though ... it would be much nicer if you could search through a whole project.. instead of having a dedicated search for every section .. like forum, wiki, cms, etc. all having their own search engine) Hey, we have Signatures !!! Great, isn't it ? ;) |

ok .. since i got interested .. i implemented a (simple) search function for the forum ;)
http://sct.sphene.net/board/search/?query=search it is based on xapian and djapian .. see Search for more details. Hey, we have Signatures !!! Great, isn't it ? ;) |
