Also, would you spend public money to teach coimetsc surgery, that is not offered by public hospitals? If it is recognised as a speciality by the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK then yes I would be happy for my tax money to go into this area. Some people need coimetsc surgery because of birth defects and theres is of reconstructive surgery that all (in my opinion) falls under coimetsc surgery because these people want to look normal' so if we are recognising this area then we should teach it properly. In the UK coimetsc surgery is available on the NHS in some areas and surgeons do often work in the nhs as well as eventually set up a private practice-some still do both. I don't see how they can train properly or be regulated well if we do not put public money into training. I truly believe that the NHS need these skills also. But of course you are right it is a double edged sword and sadly it is the patient that often loses out.Good luck with keeping your identity a secret, i have found your information very informative.Nag Dear Nag,congenital malformations are a very traditional part of reconstructive plastic surgery, and they have always been included in any plastic surgeon's training. Pure coimetsc surgery is different, and it is not provided for free by any healthcare system in any country. There is a need for training in coimetsc surgery, but I would personally say that that training has to be founded by the student, not the taxpayer. The government should only set the regulations, and make sure that coimetsc surgeons can only practice if they had an adequate training (at their own expenses, in my personal opinion).Snake
